Recommended Equine Service Providers

As horse owners, we are SO fortunate here in New Hampshire! There are so many incredibly talented area professionals to choose from for our horses. I know that many of you already have highly skilled equine service professionals that you trust, and have built strong relationships with! However, if you haven't quite found the right match for you, or are new to the area and searching for a service provider, here are some folks that I have had work on my personal horses, and that I can personally recommend. I also routinely work with many other professionals with whom I admire and have tremendous respect for, and can recommend them based on my professional experience and client referalls. That being said, these are the folks who work on my personal horses!

Dr Eric Lockwood Swinebroad, DVM, DACVIM. Newmarket Sporthorse Medicine [ME, MA, NH, VT, NJ, PA] & Indialantic Equine [SC & FL]
"Dr. Lockwood" has an excellent reputation for working with local veterinary offices and area farriers to diagnose and develop a treatment plan. He has expertise in sporthorse medicine, is a specialist in equine internal medicine, and in my experience has a keen eye and ability to find the cause of "mystery lameness." I have developed tremendous confidence in relying on his skills in lameness evaluation, farrier x-rays, and diagnostics. While I routinely work with and admire many local veterinary practices, and myself use a local office for routine care, he is my go-to choice for this specialty... not only because of his skill set, but also because he will travel to wherever clients are located for on-site diagnostics, and this provides excellent consistency of care. He is highly educated in taking farrier-specific radiographs, and frequently works with local offices on diagnostics. He can be reached via email at, or via phone at (603) 770-8754.
