Hoof balancing & horsemanship llc, Est. 2009

Through my farrier practice, I serve select clients in central New Hampshire. My primary niche is providing reliable premier service to small private farms where excellent care is prioritized by the owner. My original website, packed with information regarding my services and training, is offline as of the fall of 2021. As my business is mostly referrals from existing clients, I chose to redirect a simple overview here. More information, including some photos of past work, can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/hoofbalancing/.

Inquiries from potential new clients can be emailed to stacialangille@gmail.com. Like most successful farriers, my schedule is often booked weeks in advance. To provide optimized service, all clients are required to be on a regular rotation. Payment is accepted in cash at the time of service, or paid online through a Quickbooks invoice via credit card or checking account only. Please keep these things in mind when searching for a new farrier service. Thank you for your interest, I look forward to hearing from you!

Philosophy, ServiceS and Rates

As both a farrier and horseowner, I believe in doing what is best for the horse. Even with our best efforts, domestic horses have a variety of physical, environmental, and dietary assaults inflicted upon them. With the correct supportive conditions, I am a firm believer in the improved health and function of the barefoot hoof.

That being said, each horse has a unique situation, and as a farrier I am dedicated to finding the solution that works best for your particular horse. Each horse will perform best with a podiatric package that addresses their individual needs. This is determined prior to each trim through observations and questioning.

Trimming:
$65 for Average Horse
$75 for Draft Cross / Warmblood (size 3+)
$85 Full Draft
$55 Mini's
Donkeys and Mules welcome!

Shoes:
There are many different styles of shoes available, all of which have their pros and cons depending on their application. They key is applying the right shoe, and fitting it so it best helps your horse.

Hoof Casting: $65/pair

A protective cast for the hoof. Hoof casting can be applied alone, or in combination with shoes or other composites. It is ideal for horses growing out cracks, transitioning to barefoot, on horses that have difficulty holding shoes, growing out abscesses, treating thrush (holds in medication and keeps it clean), and a myriad of other uses. Casting is an excellent occasional or short term alternative to shoes and boots for many horses, and will generally last 4-7 weeks. Guaranteed for 2 weeks. Pricing includes solar treatments/pads for thrush, thin soles, etc. I am happy to show you how to apply hoof casting alone, so you can use it as needed for additional protection.

Persistent low to high-grade lameness, Acute lameness, Abscesses, White Line Disease, Laminitis, Crack Repair, Hoof Reconstruction, Thrush, Soft Heel Cracks, Underrun Heels, Club Feet, Sheared Heels, (the list could go on for a long time!) and other Hoof Pathologies are all welcome and treated on a case-by-case basis! Please contact me at any time, I am here to help you and your horse.
